Professional background

Dr Ayesha Siddiqua is a highly experienced diabetes specialist with many years of clinical practice dedicated to supporting patients living with Type 1, Type 2 and gestational diabetes. Before joining the Rajshahi Diabetic Association General Hospital, she gained valuable experience working in other medical settings, building a strong foundation in internal medicine and patient care.

In 1997, she joined Rajshahi Diabetic Association General Hospital, where she went on to spend the majority of her professional career. Over more than two decades at this respected institution, she managed thousands of patients with diabetes, gaining deep clinical insight into early diagnosis, long-term management, complications and patient education in the Bangladeshi context.

Through her extensive experience and strong clinical leadership, Dr Ayesha rose to the position of Chief Medical Officer, supervising medical teams, coordinating diabetes services and overseeing patient care across a busy hospital environment. Her work helped improve clinical standards and strengthen diabetes care for the wider community.
